Just for Fun Theatre Group (JFF) Every Thursday in term time from 4pm JFF was founded in September 2012 with just fifteen children who came along for a “taster” session. There are now 12 sessions in three locations, with almost 200 children in total.

As the name suggests, JFF is a fun-based theatre group. The number of children in each group is limited so the children get the most out of each session. We play lots of confidence building games, put together role plays, and as show-time approaches we still have fun while practicing our performance. The ethos is that every child matters, and if they wish to perform…. they can perform. We must be doing something right – in the early days approximately 50% of children would put their hand up to say they would like lines so perform on their own…. At the last show it was over 99%

Next year, children in year 3 upwards will be performing “High School Musical” while children in Reception to year 2 will have their very own showcase.

I am incredibly proud of all the children who come to JFF, particularly those of a shy nature, whose confidence is visibly growing. It is wonderful to get such positive feedback from parents, who have noticed a difference not just on the stage, but at school and other clubs.
