The world famous Black Dyke Band in concert at the Riley-Smith Hall, Tadcaster.

This is a special celebration concert to mark exactly 100 years since the opening night of the Riley-Smith Hall. The Black Dyke Band will entertain you with a varied repertoire of exquisite brass music. Included in the programme will be a well-known piece of music which was the first to be played on stage at the Riley-Smith Hall when it opened in 1925 – this is your unique chance to hear it once again, exactly 100 years to the day since the opening night.

The Lord Lieutenancy of North Yorkshire will be represented at the concert. There will be a welcome by the Patron of the Riley-Smith Hall Charity, Toby Riley-Smith KC, the great-grandson of the hall’s founder.

All proceeds from the concert will be put towards the Riley-Smith Hall’s centenary project – the construction of stone access ramps with traditional iron railings at the front of the hall which will improve accessibility. Planning permission has already been granted for this work. There is an option to make a donation towards the centenary project when booking your tickets for the Black Dyke Band.
